Fittipaldo ‘Could See’ Marquez Valdes-Scantling Taking Calvin Austin III’s Playing Time On Monday

After some awful performances offensively, the Pittsburgh Steelers knew they had to shake something up against the Baltimore Ravens. And much of that shakeup came at the receiver position. Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling each saw their first snaps in Black and Gold, which came at the expense of Roman Wilson, a healthy scratch.

But it also came at the expense of Austin. He only played 16 snaps against the Ravens, less than Thielen’s 25 and tied with Valdes-Scantling. Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo wouldn’t be surprised to see Austin lose even more time, and potentially see less snaps than Valdes-Scantling Monday night.
