To much of the distain of Steelers Nation, WR Ray-Ray McCloud became the featured receiver on Sunday’s matchup against the Detroit Lions at Heinz Field. Primarily serving as the team’s punt and kicker returner, McCloud found his way into more playing time on the offensive side of the football after JuJu Smith Schuster went down with a shoulder injury that cost him the rest of the season. Instead of deploying James Washington more in the offense, it was McCloud that steeped into JuJu’s role in the slot, relegating Washington, who asked for a trade earlier this season to a continued rotational/backup role.
