It was just his second start in the National Football League, but OT Dylan Cook has played above-the-bar as a backup for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Head coach Mike Tomlin said after Pittsburgh’s 29-24 victory over the Detroit Lions that Cook has played well despite being the team’s fourth left tackle. He helped Pittsburgh rush for over 200 yards while also protecting Aaron Rodgers’ blindside.
Cook played well in his first career start last Monday against the Miami Dolphins after being a backup who never really saw the field before this season. While the Lions gave Cook some fits, he didn’t blink and looked in his element when you go back through the tape.
