ESPN’s Numbers Show Difference In Mason Rudolph Versus Aaron Rodgers-Led Offense

With Aaron Rodgers back in the lineup today, the Pittsburgh Steelers might not be going under center much. The offense might not use much motion, either. As highlighted by ESPN during Sunday morning’s NFL Countdown, the Steelers had a big motion rate change with Mason Rudolph last Sunday compared to Rodgers throughout the season.

As shared by researcher Evan Kaplan, Pittsburgh had a near 50-percent pre-snap motion rate against the Chicago Bears with Rudolph at quarterback. Nearly 20 points higher than the team’s average with Aaron Rodgers for the previous 10 games.

We noted a similar stat earlier in the week.
