With injuries leaving the left tackle position in flux leading up to the Monday Night Football matchup with the Miami Dolphins at Acrisure Stadium, the Pittsburgh Steelers needed some stability at the position — for one week at least.
Dylan Cook — in his first career start — was that stabilizing presence, which was rather remarkable.
Cook stepped into the starting lineup the same week he was signed to the 53-man roster and played a tremendous game against the Dolphins. He earned praise after the game from head coach Mike Tomlin, and rightfully so.
In 66 snaps, Cook was outstanding.
