The Pittsburgh Steelers were perhaps prepping to make some splashy moves at the trade deadline just a couple weeks ago when they were 4-1. Maybe they still will, but the thinking has shifted after back-to-back losses according to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac.
“They were going to wait and see if they were going to be 6-2 before going all-in on maybe one more significant player,” Dulac wrote in his weekly Steelers chat. “But they might be staring at 4-4 so they are less inclined — understand everyone, less inclined — to do so.”
He hedged a bit on his expectations, but believes the team is less inclined to make any splashy moves.
