Dulac: Broderick Jones’ Neck Injury Required Surgery

Broderick Jones injured his neck against the Chicago Bears on Nov. 23 and was placed on the Reserve/Injured list shortly after on Nov. 29. The extent of his injury was uncertain at the time, but some reports indicated he was out for the season. Now we know that is for sure the case with some additional details about his injury.

According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac, Jones’ injury required surgery to fix.

“Yes, he had neck surgery,” Dulac wrote in his weekly fan chat. “And whoever reported that he could return this year, once again, has no idea what they’re talking about.
