Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf has been suspended two games by the NFL for an altercation with a Detroit Lions fan during Sunday’s game. The bizarre moment came in the first half of Pittsburgh’s 29-24 victory.
Barring an appeal that overturns the NFL’s punishment, Metcalf will sit out Week 17’s game against the Cleveland Browns and Week 18’s regular season finale against the Baltimore Ravens.
The league called it “conduct detrimental” to the team and noted it violated the NFL’s policy prohibiting players from making physical contact with the fans.
