Although DK Metcalf scored a touchdown in his first game against the Seahawks, he failed to earn the all-important win. Acquired by the Steelers for a second-round draft pick, he has shown only flashes of what they hope to see. Indeed, his struggles to make the tough (and less tough) catches are quickly growing into a pattern.
If only Metcalf’s lapses on the day actually were tied to a complex of emotions related to playing the Seahawks. Instead, he has insisted for the past week that there are no heightened emotions over playing his former team.
