On Monday night in Pittsburgh, the Steelers needed to beat the Miami Dolphins to keep their one-game lead atop the AFC North. And QB Aaron Rodgers played arguably his best game of the season. But after the Steelers’ 28-15 win, Rodgers spent time praising running back Kenneth Gainwell.
And it’s easy to understand why. Gainwell led the Steelers with 13 rushes for 80 yards. He also led the Steelers in targets with seven, pulling in all passes Rodgers threw his way for another 46 yards. Part of Rodgers’ praise for Gainwell revolved around how little the Steelers paid to get Gainwell to Pittsburgh.
