Just when it seemed like the Pittsburgh Steelers had turned a corner and were playing their best football late in the season with a chance to clinch the AFC North, the bottom fell out, at least for one week.
On the road against the Cleveland Browns Sunday in Week 17 action, all the Steelers needed to do was beat a 3-12 team playing meaningless football. Pittsburgh couldn’t do it, dropping a 13-6 game in which the offense couldn’t do anything consistently without DK Metcalf in the lineup, and then losing tight end Darnell Washington to a broken arm.
