Darrin Walls bringing youth football players to watch Lions-Steelers practice

ALLEN PARK, Mich. – When Darrin Walls heard his new team, the Detroit Lions, would be heading to Pennsylvania to have joint practices with the Pittsburgh Steelers this week, the veteran cornerback came up with an idea.

Pittsburgh is his hometown. His family still lives there. It's where he learned football, where he developed into one of the top high school cornerbacks in the country and that play combined with his intelligence helped land him a college scholarship from Notre Dame.

And one of the things he remembers as a kid is being able to go and watch the Steelers practice.
