Financial flexibility makes for a fun offseason. No longer are the Pittsburgh Steelers pinching pennies and dumpster diving. While the search for a franchise quarterback has put the Steelers in neutral, the lack of a massive quarterback contract like they had during Ben Roethlisberger’s career has allowed the team to spend and acquire like never before. Visiting training camp last week, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler spoke with GM Omar Khan over the new world the Steelers have opened up.

“When you’re not paying a quarterback [top dollar], you obviously have more flexibility,” Khan told Fowler in an article published Monday.
