In the week prior to the surprising decision by Mike Tomlin to step down as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Sports Illustrated’s NFL Insider Albert Breer dropped an interesting nugget about a name to watch for the Steelers if a change was made at head coach after the season.
Now, 24 hours after Tomlin resigned, Breer is doubling down on that name, just as the name is heating up in the search for the next Steelers head coach, too.
That would be Los Angeles Rams’ defensive coordinator Chris Shula, the grandson of the legendary Don Shula.
