Can Steelers’ Pass Rush Abuse Chargers’ Battered O-Line?

Can the Steelers’ pass rush abuse the Chargers’ battered offensive line?

The Steelers’ pass rush sparked back to life last week, and now they play a Chargers team without their starting tackles. On paper, that sounds like a recipe for disaster for Los Angeles, but we’ve seen this show before. Just a week earlier, they went a whole game without managing a single sack.

The key issue for the Steelers’ pass rush had been teams getting the ball out quickly, and the Chargers generally are not a quick-pass team. According to Pro Football Focus, Justin Herbert ranks 21st out of 30 qualifying quarterbacks in average time to throw.
