Pittsburgh Steelers CB Brandin Echols suffered an injury in the second quarter of the team’s Week 16 game against the Detroit Lions. Echols was injured during a completion to WR Jameson Williams with three minutes left in the first half, and he was being attended to by trainers on the field following the play.
The Steelers entered the game with four healthy cornerbacks with the team elevating CB Daryl Porter Jr. off the practice squad yesterday. Porter has some slot capability and could be a potential replacement for Echols with Joey Porter Jr. and Asante Samuel Jr. on the outside with Jalen Ramsey remaining at safety.
