The Pittsburgh Steelers annual home run derby has been won by K Ben Sauls, marking the first time in three years that it hasn’t been a quarterback. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin posted a picture with Sauls after he took home the title.
Sauls didn’t play baseball in high school, focusing on soccer and football, but he clearly has some pop in his bat. Unlike 2024 winner Justin Fields and 2022 and 2023 champ Kenny Pickett, who were both baseball standouts in high school, Sauls won without a lot of recent organized experience in the sport.
