Less than two weeks after suggesting the Pittsburgh Steelers and Mike Tomlin could and should split, his former quarterback Ben Roethlisberger offered a softer tone about Tomlin’s future. Attending Monday night’s game as part of his Hall of Honor induction weekend, Roethlisberger offered a different context of his past comments.
“I don’t think I said anything negative,” Roethlisberger said via ESPN’s Brooke Pryor. “I don’t critique the player. I’ll critique the play. Just because I said maybe there’s a time for some new things. That’s just saying that I think Coach Tomlin if he wants to move on, he has the right to move on.
