While Mason Rudolph has held the clipboard for Aaron Rodgers in 2025, Rudolph could be the Pittsburgh Steelers’ opening day starter in 2026. There’s still a long way to go before Pittsburgh figures out next year’s quarterback. But as things stand now, the PPG’s Ray Fittipaldo gives Rudolph the nod.
Joining 93.7 The Fan Friday, Fittipaldo guessed a 50-percent chance Rudolph would be the starter. For Rodgers, Fittipaldo gave it just a 35-percent chance. And despite the Will Howard fan club, Fittipaldo gave him just a 2-percent chance of being named the Week 1 starter.
“It’s gotta be somebody so I’ll go 50,” Fittipaldo told host Joe Starkey.
