Actions speak louder than words. For Roman Wilson, his ball security will be under intense scrutiny going forward. For the Pittsburgh Steelers, the fact the team failed to trade for a wide receiver at the trade deadline signals a belief in Wilson and the Steelers’ receiver room. Speaking to reporters Thursday, Arthur Smith affirmed those actions by giving Wilson an earnest vote of confidence.
“We’ve got a lot of faith in Roman,” Smith said via the PPG’s Brian Batko. “He’s a tough-minded guy.”
Arthur Smith says Roman Wilson learned a tough lesson with his four-minute offense fumble in the fourth quarter of that Colts game, and they’ll try to coach that sort of decision out of him.
