As the Mike Tomlin chapter closes, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ mission is to find his replacement. A search that hasn’t happened since 2007, owner Art Rooney II outlined who will be responsible for selecting Tomlin’s replacement.
“We turn to our search for our next head coach. Omar [Khan] and I will lead the search,” Rooney said during a Wednesday press conference via the team’s YouTube channel. “We’ll rely on others in the organization to help as we go forward. Look forward to getting started to the search and the next chapter of Steelers football.”
They are two of the longest-tenured members of the Steelers’ organization.
