Even after a rather ugly home playoff loss to the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football just two days ago, Pittsburgh Steelers team president and owner Art Rooney II wasn’t blinking when it came to Mike Tomlin’s status.
Until Tomlin told him Tuesday he was going to resign from his post as head coach of the Steelers after 19 years.
Speaking to reporters Wednesday, Rooney stated that he was ready to “take another run” in 2026 with Tomlin as the head coach of the franchise, giving the Steelers another crack at competing for a Super Bowl championship.
