Antonio Brown sent back to Pittsburgh for further evaluation of reported quad strain

Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro wide receiver has missed the past two practices with an undisclosed injury. This is rare for Brown, but the usual camp injury was expected, nothing serious.

Then reports circulated after Thursday’s workout stating Brown wasn’t in Latrobe anymore, but was sent back to Pittsburgh for further evaluation.

Head coach Mike Tomlin, who doesn’t have to disclose the nature of the injury, didn’t specify where the injury is, but did say he is still considered day-to-day.
