The Pittsburgh Steelers have blown a halftime lead. If that sounds familiar to you, it’s because it is. Pittsburgh has been a miserable second-half team, and the first-half leads they’ve frequently held have amounted to little.
Of the Steelers’ 12 games this season, they’ve led at the break in nine of them. They’ve lost four of those games. Seattle in Week 2 (led 14-7, lost 31-17), Green Bay in Week 8 (led 16-7, lost 35-25), Chicago in Week 13 (led 21-17, lost 31-28), and most recently, Buffalo in Week 14 (led 7-3, lost 26-7).
That is an alarmingly high figure.
