Analysts Scold Steelers For Not Trading For QB Matthew Stafford: ‘Would Be The Favorites To Win The Super Bowl’

Months after the door closed for any team to make the splash move to land Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, the Pittsburgh Steelers are still catching heat for not making a move. A pair of ESPN analysts took the franchise to task for not making a mega-deal for a mega-move.

“If the Steelers had Matt Stafford on this team, they would be the favorites to win the Super Bowl,” said Unsportsmanlike’s Chris Canty. “That is incredible. Instead of burning a first round draft pick, to solidify the quarterback position, would’ve been the best quarterback that you had post-Ben Roethlisberger.
