Up until garbage time, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense was making easy work of the Miami Dolphins. Not only was the unit dominant against the run, but it completely bottled up Tua Tagovailoa until the game was out of reach and the defense started to use some softer coverages. However, the Steelers face a much more challenging task against the Detroit Lions next Sunday. Too tough a task, according to PFF’s Dalton Wasserman.
“I think Jared Goff and his abilities to throw down the middle of the field are really tailor-made to beat this Steelers defense. 10th in the league in passing grade between the numbers… The Steelers, defending the middle of the field, it’s been a real problem for them.
