The Pittsburgh Steelers have one big problem to solve after Mike Tomlin resigned on Tuesday. However, that’s not their only issue. Once they find a new head coach, that new head coach is going to have to figure out the Steelers’ answer at the quarterback position.
Aaron Rodgers might not have been the choice in 2026 anyway. With Mike Tomlin now gone, those chances diminish even more. With no long-term option on the roster, trying to find a solution for the future would surely be one of the first tasks for the new head coach. However, Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson thinks that’s a decision that might be best left for 2027, instead.
