Analysis: Steelers pulled a page from Patriots playbook by drafting Mason Rudolph

You wouldn’t have known it by watching the clinic he put on against the Steelers in an early November game in 2013, but New England quarterback Tom Brady was in the midst of one the worst seasons of his career. A few weeks later, Brady finished the 2013 season with an 87.3 quarterback rating, his lowest since 2003. He also fell well short of his standards in other passing categories, including 25 touchdown passes (fewest since 2006) and a 60.5 completion percentage (also his lowest since 2006).

Even with the 432-yard, four-touchdown performance in the 55-31 pasting of the Steelers inside Gillette Stadium that year, Brady’s season was rather ordinary.
