Last season, I created a metric to mathematically rank each ninja’s prowess in the competition. I awarded “Ninja Points” based on the number of obstacles within each course that were completed. Here is how the “Ninja Points” metric was calculated:
- 6 points for completion of each obstacle in a City Qualifiers course
- 7.5 points for completion of each of the first six obstacles on a City Finals course
- 15 points for completion of each of the final four obstacles on a City Finals course
- 25 points for completion of each obstacle on Stage 1
- 50 points for completion of each obstacle on Stage 2
- 80 points for completion of each obstacle on Stage 3
- 200 points for completion of Stage 4
Additionally, four categories of bonus points were available.
