Adam Thielen has been with the Steelers for three weeks, and his role only figures to increase, especially right now. With DK Metcalf suspended for the next two games and Calvin Austin III ailing, something must absorb those extra targets. While Thielen isn’t focusing on who isn’t there, however, he is prepared for whatever role comes his way.
“It’s fun to be on the field and get opportunities. That’s what you practice for. That’s what you put all the work in for”, Thielen said, via the Steelers’ YouTube channel. “Obviously, to be able to capitalize [on it], and for the coaches and for the quarterback and other guys to trust me in those situations, it means a lot to me.
