Darnell Washington has been instrumental in jump-starting the Pittsburgh Steelers’ rushing attack out of their jumbo package, but his growing impact in the passing game is becoming just as significant. After the Steelers beat the Indianapolis Colts, 27-20, Aaron Rodgers spoke at length about Washington’s importance to the Steelers’ offense.
“I just love his attitude when he’s on the field,” Rodgers said Sunday via the Steelers’ YouTube. “When 80’s on the field, we’re a better offense. So I’m really proud of his effort every single week.”
It wasn’t a pretty start for Washington in the passing game.
