After missing out on him in September, the Pittsburgh Steelers might not be able to land veteran WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling the second time around either. Despite a Monday workout and reported signing, Valdes-Scantling remains a free agent. With Pittsburgh filling up its practice squad Wednesday with three players, including WR John Rhys Plumlee, it doesn’t appear Valdes-Scantling is signing ahead of Week 9.
While Aaron Rodgers isn’t in charge of those decisions, he offered insight to why no deal has happened.
