Aaron Rodgers knows firsthand how badly a referee huddle can turn against a team. That did not happen Sunday evening. At least not for those wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers uniform. Though it was a messy and chaotic ending, it ultimately proved to be the correct one. An offensive pass interference called against the Detroit Lions on the final snap, ending the game right then and there. And giving the Steelers a huge 29-24 victory.
“I was trying to read [head referee Carl Cheffer’s] lips and see what he was saying,” Rodgers told reporters after the game via the team’s YouTube channel.
