We’re still over a month away from the Steelers reporting for the start of training camp. Players won’t be putting on full pads to practice until August 1st either, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to glean from the organized team activity (OTA) period.
This time is the first experience that rookies, new acquisitions, and incumbent veterans get to work together and build rapport with one another. Especially considering the Steelers have a new offensive coordinator this year, these drills and practices are enormous for getting a handle on the new system.
