#99 Joe Jackson/Edge Miami – 6’5” 265

The Good

  • Good burst on assumed passing downs
  • Good play strength in holding off blockers and in pass rush when he uses his hands
  • Uses a strong rip and solid bend to get around the edge as his favorite pass rush
  • Success with rip, swim and bull rush and showed a hump move that has potential
  • Has the hand usage and strength to keep blockers at arm’s length and has flashed ability to shed
  • Good COD and pursuit of the ball

The Bad

  • Only played on the right side with a rare drop down to 3 tech on pass rushes
  • Uses choppy steps limiting his explosiveness getting up field
  • Inconsistent quickness at the snap
  • Plays too high and will use his shoulder instead of his hands vs blockers
  • Doesn’t get a lot of push with inconsistent leverage to move OL consistently.
