Not much is certain in civilization anymore, let alone sports. But, if Major League Baseball's 60-game schedule takes flight, the Pittsburgh Baseball Club will open its 134th season July 24 in St. Louis.
A source confirmed to DK Pittsburgh Sports that the Pirates and Cardinals will meet for three games that weekend, July 24-26, at Busch Stadium. Those teams will meet again at Busch later in the season, as well as once at PNC Park, though dates for that and all else won't be known until the full schedule is announced. That's expected early in the coming week.
