The Boston Red Sox are pursuing Pirates announcer Tim Neverett and recently offered him the role of play-by-play man on their WEEI broadcasts, according to the Boston Herald.
Neverett, 49, is from Nashua, N.H., and graduated from Emerson College in Boston. He joined the Pirates in 2008.
According to the report, Neverett has not yet accepted the Red Sox's offer, but he traveled to Boston this week to meet with Red Sox and Entercom officials.
