The Pittsburgh Pirates announced some minor league roster moves ahead of today’s Opening Day for three of their affiliates. Included in that group of moves is top 100 pitching prospect Quinn Priester going on the 7-day injured list with an oblique injury. He was scheduled to begin the season with Altoona. I inquired about an update, so I’ll add that here if more is known.
The rest of the moves include Daniel Amaral and Dylan Shockley being placed on the development list, Jeffrey Passantino being placed on the 60-day IL, and both Aaron Shortridge and Fabricio Macias being placed on the 7-day IL.
