Pittsburgh Pirates to Play in MLB Little League Classic in Williamsport

Major League Baseball announced on Thursday morning that the Pittsburgh Pirates and the St Louis Cardinals will play in the MLB Little League Classic, which will take place in Williamsport, Pa. on August 20th. The game was originally scheduled for PNC Park, but will now take place 200 miles east in Williamsport during the Little League World Series. The game will air nationally on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.

The game will take place at BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field, the home of the Williamsport Crosscutters of the New York-Penn League. Williamsport was the home of the NYPL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1999 until 2006.
