This week the Pittsburgh Pirates kicked off their penultimate road trip of the 2019 season. The trip started with a four-game series at Oracle Park in San Francisco against the Giants. In the series, the Pirates walked away victorious taking three of four from the Giants.
The series victory was the team’s third in their last six series played. After winning three games by the bay the Pirates are now 13-7 in their last 20 games. Despite the recent hot stretch, the Bucs remain 17 games under .500 on the season at 65-82.
To the team’s credit, they did not just fold and mail in the last few weeks of the season.
