We have news! The Pirates have voided the contract of right-hander Roberto Gomez, who signed a minor league deal for 2019, with an NRI. Apparently his physical didn’t go well. Gomez pitched briefly for the Giants in 2017 and 2018. He looked like he might have a one-in-a-very-large-number chance of making the team this spring.
