CHICAGO -- The Pirates announced the signing of six more of their draft picks late Monday night, highlighted by their fifth-round selection, outfielder Tres Gonzalez.
The other five signings were all pitchers: Sixth-rounder Derek Diamond, seventh-rounder JP Massey, ninth-rounder Mike Walsh, 11th-rounder Dominic Perachi and 20th-rounder Josh Loeschom. Perachi is the only one of that group who is left-handed.
All six will report to the Florida Complex League.
With this batch of signings, the Pirates have inked 10 of their 21 draft picks, including six of their 11 selections in the first 10 rounds.
