Pirates report ‘very encouraging news’ in Taillon recovery

Jameson Taillon won't quit.

He came back from Tommy John surgery in 2014, and he came back from surgery to remove a cancerous growth on his testicle in 2017. After a second Tommy John surgery in August 2019, Taillon plans to come back again — and his teammates fully believe in him.

“We know that Jamo’s capable of coming back,” Trevor Williams was telling our Dejan Kovacevic in Anaheim, Calif., last year. “I’ve already got him penciled in to be our 2021 Comeback Player of the Year. It’s going to be a long, tough road ahead.
