According to P2, Daniel Nava has been released by the Pirates.
He signed a minor league deal with an invite to Spring Training on Feb 9, but was listed as out for 10-12 weeks after Feb. 28th back surgery. The subsequent acquisition of Corey Dickerson and Bruce Brentz made Nava irrelevant.
