Prior to Sunday’s afternoon game against the St Louis Cardinals, the Pittsburgh Pirates placed left-handed pitcher Rob Zastryzny on the 15-day Injured List. Right-handed pitcher Yohan Ramirez has been recalled to take his spot on the 26-man roster.
Zastryzny had made seven appearances for the Pirates this season. He has pitched 5.2 innings total, allowing five runs on six hits, five walks and six strikeouts. He is listed as having left elbow discomfort.
