There is a ton of anticipation around the Pirates' offseason plans, and multiple MLB insiders are labeling them as spenders this offseason. Jeff Passan linked them to multiple names, including interest in Kyle Schwarber and a planned contract offer for Josh Naylor. More recently, Robert Murray stated on Foul Territory that they are going to be in the market for meaningful offense. He labeled Ryan O'Hearn as a more realistic fit than Schwarber, and then added a reunion opportunity with Tommy Pham to the docket.
Murray also added that they had a great experience with Pham during his one-year stint with Pittsburgh, and that any addition wouldn't represent the last of their moves this offseason.
