CHICAGO — Monday’s game between the Pirates and Chicago Cubs has been postponed because of snow. The teams will play the game Tuesday at 2:20 p.m. ET, on a previously scheduled off day.
It snowed all morning in Chicago, and despite the grounds crew’s best efforts, which included leafblowers, brooms and hoses pulling slush off the tarp, the outfield still had half an inch to an inch of snow at 11 a.m. local time. The game was initially delayed an hour before being canceled.
