Phillies challenge takes Pirates run off board

PHILADELPHIA -- It took five innings Wednesday night for the Pirates to get on the scoreboard against Cole Hamels -- and only 34 seconds for their third run to be taken off the board.

Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg's successful appeal of a fifth-inning play at first base resulted in replay review reverting the score from 3-0 to 2-0.

Seconds after Andrew McCutchen had given the Bucs a 2-0 lead with a bases-loaded single with two outs in the fifth inning, Starling Marte appeared to add to it with an infield hit.
