ALTOONA, Pa. -- Penn State landed its first commitment for the 2025 recruiting class, beating out numerous major programs for the No. 1 prospect from New Jersey.
Offensive tackle Jaelyne Matthews, a 4-star recruit, announced his commitment to Penn State on Monday. The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder from Toms River North High School is rated the No. 5 offensive tackle in the country and No. 60 prospect overall for 2025.
Matthews picked Penn State over the likes of Ohio State, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
Matthews visited Penn State over the weekend for junior day.
