Penguins recall Riikola, Domingue; Ruhwedel, Pettersson out vs. Ottawa

Juuso Riikola's re-assignment to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton didn't even last 24 hours.

The Penguins on Friday recalled Riikola on an emergency basis ahead of this weekend's road trip, which includes a game in Ottawa on Saturday and a game in Washington on Sunday.

Defensemen Chad Ruhwedel and Marcus Pettersson will not travel to Ottawa because they would have to be subjected to the Canadian government's 14-day quarantine requirement due to their recent COVID-19 cases. Sidney Crosby, Brian Dumoulin and Mike Sullivan all tested positive for COVID-19 after Ruhwedel and Pettersson did, so it's safe to say that they won't be eligible to come out of protocol and travel to Canada yet either,

The Penguins will also not bring Tristan Jarry on the Ottawa trip, and Jarry will meet the team in Washington on Sunday.
